Welcome to our site. The Rockwood Public Works Department is actually four departments in one. The Street
Dept., Sanitation Dept., Garage Dept., and Animal/Litter Control.The Rockwood Public Works Dept. goal is to provide the
best service possible to the citizens of Rockwood. We strive to be friendly and helpful at all times. We feel that it is imperative
that we solve any issue within our capability that may be causing a problem for any resident. As most of our issues deal with
City right-of-ways, keep in mind that we cannot make changes to private property. We will be glad however to advise someone
that has a problem and give them any options that we see available. Remember, we are here to help you and look forward

of December 1, 2008 the Public Works will be changing our regular working hours. Due to the economic situtation locally and
nationally we are changing from five days a week at 8 hours a day to four days a week at 10 hours a day. We feel like this
will be a significant cost savings in energy and fuel while increasing our job productivity. Our new hours will be Monday
thru Thursday, 7:00A.M. til 5:00P.M. There will be a change for Friday garbage customers. You can get further details
