Rockwood Street Dept. maintains all of the streets and drainage associated with these streets. Anyone wishing to connect a driveway to a city street must first contact someone from the Street Dept. for drainage specifications and drainage tile pre-approval.  We also keep all of the right-of-ways mowed during the summer months. This is a huge part of our summer work and it takes 5 men and machines going full time through the summer.

Any modifications or changes made to city drainage must meet certain Rockwood City Street Dept standards and have pre-approval by the Street Dept. There could also be some State guidlines that must be met for drainage and land clearance. Please check with us first before you begin a project that envolves water runoff.

Any cuts to the city streets, sidewalks or right of way must also have pre-approval. Please check with someone at city hall or with the Street Dept.before you dig. Digging without checking first could cost you considerable problems!
